The majority of JBS teachers are British. JBS hires teachers internationally to find the best practitioners from around the globe. All teachers are highly trained and qualified. They all have the requirements as per KHDA guidelines. Administrative staff is international and hired locally and internationally.

English as an Additional Language (EAL) / Intensive English Support. Younger children will get support from an EAL teacher to facilitate their quick integration into class. Older primary children will be offered an intensive English class and may also receive additional in-class support to equip them for their mainstream lessons. Learning principles

JBS motto ‘know yourself, learn from each other’ demonstrates a clear commitment to having its students understand their own cultural background as well as that of others in the community. Assessment. Applying to Jumeira Baccalaureate School is a simple three-step process. Step One: Please complete our Online Application Form. All applications are digital. We have no paper applications. Once we are in receipt of your online application, you will receive an email sent to the email address you have entered on the application. This email will direct you to Step Two. Step Two: The email from Jumeira Baccalaureate School will provide a list of required documents and how to contact our Admissions Team to make an appointment for assessment and payment of a one-time non-refundable and non-transferable Application Fee. Step Three: We will contact you with a date for your child’s placement assessment, which will be administered by the Admissions Office and Jumeira Baccalaureate School faculty. After assessment and upon receiving an acceptance letter, a deposit fee is required to reserve your seat. A seat cannot be held until the deposit payment is received. We will advise of the amount in the acceptance letter. Acceptance to Jumeira Baccalaureate School is contingent upon the results of the placement assessment, student interview and former school reports All students applying to Jumeira Baccalaureate School are required to be assessed, regardless of age, grade, school or country they are from.
