Key Facts

Welcome

As a school we're proud of our international community that treats everyone that comes through its doors as an individual. Though we do very well academically and our graduates secure places at some of the top universities in the world including Cambridge and Cornell, we understand that this is not the be all and end all. This means being a "family" and not a "factory" as we provide bespoke quality education that brings out the best in every child. As a medium size school its easy to achieve this and small class sizes allows each student to get the attention and support they deserve. The list of extracurricular activities is extensive allowing students to constantly try new things and develop their passions - we acknowledge that everyone has their own pathways and encourage students to be the best they can in whatever they choose to focus on. These methods of encouragement, support and understanding create a happy community where the relationships and level of care between staff and students always exceed expectation. We are also both a day and boarding school catering to a large age range - from 3-18.

Learning principles

As the only Round Square school in the city the school's teaching approach differs slightly to the other international schools in the region. Round Square is an organisation of over 170 schools worldwide who share a belief in their approach to education. Round Square schools are connected by their shared ethos that embeds Internationalism, Democracy, Environmental stewardship, Adventure, Leadership and Service to others throughout everything that we do. Together these ‘pillars’ forms what is more commonly known as the acronym ‘IDEALS’. Thus the school promises to: To guide students into becoming well-rounded, informed, responsible, principled and confident global citizens. To build a mutually supportive network that shares resources, ideas, methods, experience and opportunities, locally, regionally and internationally. To develop international understanding, empathy and tolerance for all cultures; democratic governance and justice; environmental stewardship; adventure, self-discovery and courage; leadership, compassion and service to others.
