Learning principles

RBIS believes in learning through play in the Early Years Foundation Stage. In Primary and Secondary active, enquiry based learning with cooperative learning and group work being the norm. We make good use of assessment data to ensure progression and intervene if individuals stray from their targets. Lessons are lively, fun and challenging with excellent mutually respectful relationships between staff and students. Excellent use of ICT is used to allow students any-place/any-time access to learning materials and support which encourages independence of learning. There is an emphasis on learning to learn and understanding how to make progress and enjoy learning.
