Learning principles

Amnuay Silpa is a "thinking school". There are many definitions as to what exactly a Thinking School is. ANS aims to create a school where all members give careful thought to everything that takes place. It aims to encourage both students and staff to think critically, creatively and reflectively. It aims to ensure that the curriculum is meaningful and focuses on skills and techniques and not solely on content. ANS aims to help students to develop and demonstrate independent and co-operative learning skills; using a range of thinking tools and strategies. It aims to create an atmosphere where pupils experience high levels of achievement and both enjoyment and satisfaction in lifelong essay.

Admission and language criteria

Entry into Nursery and Reception is not selective but is on a first-come first-served basis. Entry into Year 1 to Year 13 is based upon academic merit which is assessed through entry tests, an interview at the school and references and/or reports from previous schools. The selection process is designed to identify students who are able to benefit from the holistic, bilingual curriculum and enable them to thrive within and contributes towards the life of the school.
